Wellness Care

The best medicine, as they say, is prevention. Because cats do not live as long as their human counterparts, annual wellness exams are highly encouraged. At the Feline Medical Clinic, we believe that providing cats with wellness care can not only extend their lives but can ensure that any issues or illnesses are caught early enough to treat quickly and effectively. It is important to remember that just because your cat does not exhibit symptoms of an illness, that does not mean that there are no underlying issues that need to be addressed.

Our standard comprehensive exam is recommended annually and includes a full examination of your cat’s eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, head and neck, heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, and coat. By engaging in annual wellness exams, you are doing your part to make sure that your cat lives a long and healthy life.

We also offer parasite protection and individualized flea control programs to help rid your cat and your home of any unwanted pests.

Even with the best of cats behavior problems can arise and when they do we are happy to help. Behavior counseling is an important part of veterinary medicine and something we take very seriously. If you are having behavior concerns such as inappropriate urination, inappropriate scratching, or inter-cat aggression please let us help you.

Finally, if your cat is on the chunkier side, nutrition recommendations or dietary counseling can also be provided. Regular weight checks (or weight ins) are a vital component of a weight loss plan and thus no charge weight checks are provided by our technician team to help support you and your cat’s weight loss goal. We do require an appointment for weight checks so please make sure to call to schedule.
