Hospital Policies

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment.

An occasional appointment delay may occur - please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Any cat who is being admitted for a procedure will be admitted by a doctor and discharged by appointment.

Appointments for well-cat exams (also known as annual or semi-annual physical exams) can be made via email. Please be aware that we will not be able to make an appointment for a sick cat through email. Please call us if your cat is ill and needs to be seen. Our appointments for well-cat exams begin at 9 a.m., Monday through Saturday. If you would like to request an appointment at our cat-friendly clinic via email, please give us at least a 48-hour advance notification that you want to bring your cat in for an appointment. Please specify morning or afternoon or if there is a specific time frame you would prefer, and the date you would like to bring your cat in. We will contact you to confirm your appointment.

Technician Appointments

Our technicians have appointments on a daily basis. They perform weight checks, nail trims, fluid therapy, second vaccines, dewormings, blood pressure checks, suture removals, and other procedures. Please call our cat-friendly clinic and schedule an appointment with a technician to have any of these things done.

Weight Check Appointments

We will be happy to check your cat's weight free of charge. Please call and schedule an appointment with a technician to have this done. We offer weight checks Monday through Saturday, both morning and afternoon appointments. If you have concerns about your cat that will need to be addressed by a doctor, please let us know when scheduling your cat's appointment. There will be a charge if a doctor needs to examine your cat.

Patient Arrival Policy

The safety of your cat is important to us!
When visiting our cat-friendly clinic, we request that you bring your cat in a carrier or some container that will prevent your pet from becoming loose in our parking lot or clinic. We can sell you an inexpensive cardboard carrier if you'd like. We sometimes have loaner carriers as well. Please ask at the reception desk if you would like to purchase a cardboard carrier or to see if we have a loaner carrier available.

Medication Refill Requests

In order to refill your cat's medication, your cat must have had a physical exam by a doctor within the past 365 days. This includes prescription flea control (Revolution). Please call us in advance to have your cat's medication refilled. We request at least a 24-hour advance notification. Some liquid medications (such as Clavamox liquid) will not be reconstituted until you come in to pick it up. If this is the case, please allow us time to fill your refill request when you come in. If you would like to request a refill via email, we request at least a 48-hour advance notification. If you would like confirmation that your email has been received and the prescription has been approved and filled, please include that information in your email.
